I am now 16 weeks and 2 days but want to update you on how weeks 14-15 have gone.
Have been running high lately and I mean high. since entering the 2nd trimester there isn’t a lot that wont set me off crying, it could be stress, tiredness, felling uncomfortable or even just a song or program. You name it, it has probably made me cry at one point or another.
When I was pregnant with Logan I was more moody than emotional, well this is what Matt tells me anyway. Where as this time I’m just more emotional with the odd mood swing.
Looking After A Toddler and Being Pregnant….
Is unbelievably hard. you get told about how having two kids is hard or that having a toddler is hard when your pregnant is hard. Let me tell you they are not wrong. Lately I have been so tired from being pregnant and looking after Logan, that I don’t have the energy to do housework. Last week I cried because there was a load of clothes that needed to be put away.
Logan is now also at the stage where he actually wants me to play with him which is great it makes me feel wanted. Sometimes I just struggle as I’m so exhausted.
Even taking him to his weekly toddler group to get ready for preschool leaves me shattered and I end up napping with him. when I was 14 weeks pregnant we both ended up having like a 3 hour nap!
I don’t really get much and this isn’t because of Logan as such but I’m already starting to ache in bed and get painful hips. I got this with Logan but not until I was like 25-30 weeks pregnant. As a result my nights consist of fidgeting, trying to get comfy and then trying to get back to sleep.
This is new for me it’s definitely a 2nd trimester symptom for me and not a pleasant one either. Pretty much everyday my bump and boobs itch like crazy. I try to not scratch it and make it worse.
When it is more muggy I notice I itch more and have red pin size dots/rash all over my bump. I not sure if it’s just a heat rash or something else but I will be mentioning it to my midwife this week.
I finally feel like I want to exercise, which I did on Friday. I dug out my Davina Pre and Post natal work out DVD, with the except of my old workout clothes not fitting and being uncomfortable I really enjoyed it.
Saturday I went and bought a new non wired sport bra with fits beautifully and so comfy too. I also bought a pair of Maternity workout legging from Mothercare again fit beautifully and comfy. There is also plenty of room for bump to grow.
I didn’t exercise with Logan partly because of problems I had before I was pregnant and I just didn’t want to. This time though, I feel myself getting more stressed and emotional I feel like I need it. I also want to try to make labour as easy as possible too. Last time was looong and hard.
Feeling Baby Move….
I thought I could feel baby moving quite early on and then there was nothing for ages. I’m now noticing baby moving a bit but it is more when I have my jeans on and I’m sat up. It’s almost like the baby is trying to tell me to move or move my jeans out of the way. But otherwise I’m not feeling much at all. With Logan I definitely started to feel him move around 16 weeks.
