Thinking Slimmer, Week 2

So Week 2, and how is it going? I have to say it is going well, The changes seem to be coming thick and fast to some degree.

Last week you will have read that I cut out sugar from my tea. Well this week I am definitely eating less and being more active to say the least.

I will be honest and I have had a few treats this week, but for example I had a chinese one evening after work for my dinner and I couldn’t eat it all and my husband had to finish it off. This isn’t like me at all I use to be able to polish off food. But I have been eating less and as the week has gone on the cravings for chocolate and such are slowly disappearing. which is great. When I do have treat’s I don’t feel guilty about it. I enjoy it for what it is.

Exercise wise has been going really well also. On Wednesday I managed to get in a 30 minute Pilates session at home which was later followed by a long walk with Logan. This morning despite it being freezing and there being a thin layer of snow on the ground I went for a run, I did walk some of it but I was gone for about 30 minutes and it felt amazing. The cold crisp air biting at all of your senses really has set me up for the day. My lunch today consisted of a cheese sandwich and a cereal bar. Breakfast after my run consisted of a slice of toast a poached egg and baked beans, and to be honest I haven’t been hungry or thought about food much today at all.

I was a little skeptical as to whether this programme would work or not and if so how well. I haven’t weighed myself today but I did at the start of week 2 and had lost a pound in weight. which is fantastic considering that, at that point the main change was cutting the sugar out of my tea. Seeing all these changes happening and slowly building has got my attention and intrigue and am really interested to see where I will be at the end of the 12 weeks.

On the emotional and mental side of things I notice that when I am stressed out the chillpod has helped me to relax and reassess the situation or whatever is causing the stress and I feel more relaxed. I have also found more peace within my self over the last couple of weeks and feel my self-confidence and self acceptance growing and with that my motivation is growing also.

I’ve been trying to cut sugar from tea, I’m down to half but still can’t take it without. The progress you’ve made is very inspiring!

Ah thanks, keep at it you’ll get there, try just a quater of a spoon, and also the type of tea also plays a part I think. For example I prefer tesco tea without sugar more than pg tips.
