Jelly Belly To Yummy Mummy #7

Hello and welcome back for Jelly Belly To Yummy Mummy.

I’m not going to beat around the bush today….Last week was a rubbish week for me and I’ll tell you why. I was sleep deprived and I mean SLEEP DEPRIVED. Logan who has been teething for a couple of weeks now had a really bad turn with teething, it was the worst we have had with him. We think it’s due to his molars pushing their way to the surface we have also had some smaller on the bottom jaw on the right side.  I did my run’s without fail of course but, I really struggled with them Wednesday’s and Friday’s rums were the hardest to the point about half way through my run’s my chest started to get really tight. I felt like I was struggling to swallow the air I was taking in, although this wasn’t as bad on Sunday’s run.

This week I did all my runs through my local country park and it was beautiful, here’s why……

As you can see the sun has been out during my run’s in the morning and while the air is fresh when I go out, with me running and the sun warming up I get hot very quickly which added to the struggle I had this week.

Now that my run’s are starting last longer I really need to think out taking a bottle of water out with me. What do you guys use/do? do you just take a small shop bought bottle of water or do you have a fancy running bottle? I’m interested in what people use.

I have started using Endomundo to track my running pace etc as well as using my heart rate monitor and with each run last week my pace got quicker on average even though as the week went on I felt like I was going slower.

I also haven’t done any strength training last week just purely because I have been too tired and Logan has been quite unsettled of an evening making it difficult to fit in.

Food….Meh…..What can I say I have eaten a lot of chocolate, I’m not going to lie, where’s the point. I had lost another 2lbs taking me down to 11st 10lbs however with all the chocolate I have eaten those 2lbs went back on so I am currently sitting at 11st 12lbs. Also as a result of the chocolate I haven’t lost any inches either. ( If you want to check where I’m at measurement wise check out last weeks post.) Now while I have eaten a lot of chocolate my portions size’s are getting better and I am still getting fuller quicker.

All in all, it has been a disappointing week for me and if I’m being totally honest with myself I am disappointed because I have let poor judgement with food take control just because I have been tired.

So my goals for this week……

  1. Make better food choices….Ban Chocolate and takeaways until food choices have improved
  2. Get in 2 strength training sessions this week….NO EXCUSES
  3. Drink MORE Water

I’m going to leave you with my post Sunday run selfies….A true testament to how much my confidence has grown… No Makeup and lot’s of sweat.

Bless you, it’s so hard when the babies are unwell/teething/being horrors isn’t it? Don’t beat yourself up, nobody is perfect and especially during testing times. I hope Logan is feeling better. Thanks for linking with #BloggingToJogging xx

I agree with Hannah, it’s tough when your little one isn’t feeling great. Well done you though for getting out! With regards to water I just take a normal bottle, I did have a running bottle but it felt weird running with it, it’s whatever you feel comfortable with. I look forward to reading your next post. Thanks for joining up with #FitnessFriday

Thank’s for the comment. Yeah it has been tough lately but I feel like running has helped deal with the tiredness. But running lately has been really tough to push through. Will hopefully be linking up again this week
