It’s Wearing A Bit Thin Now!

Do you ever reach a point where everything is wearing thin?

I’ve reached that point…

The tantrums, the sleepless nights, the arguments. The aches and pains. I’ve just had enough.

I Blame The Chicken Pox…

Ever since Logan had the chicken pox everything has been hell. His sleep pattern and tantrums are just next level. We have had screaming, head butting anything and everything, he has thrown his head back on to the floor. We had a refusal of going to bed, multiple wake ups in the night that takes hours to get him back to sleep. Dealing with this while pregnant is exhausting. Mentally, emotionally and physically exhausting.

One thing I have learnt over the last 2 and bit years is that it is just a phase. It’s a hard tiring phase that I know one day will end and he will sleep beautifully. It’s just at the moment there feels like there is no end in sight.

Nap Times Don’t Affect His Sleep At Night…

When ever we have talked about Logan’s Sleep or lack of more to the point there is always the suggestion that we adjust his nap times and how long he naps for. We have done this in various ways and it makes no difference to how he sleeps. If he doesn’t have a long enough nap or a nap at night he’s over tired and hell. If he has too long a nap he’s not tired and hell. Logan is a child who will sleep through when he wants too. Simple as that and at the moment he doesn’t want to!

The Real Parenthood Experience…

I know every parent goes through this at some point and I wouldn’t be experiencing parenthood if it was easy all the time. I just need to find a way to deal with the exhaustion.

Even sat here writing this after having an hour and half nap I feel exhausted, my eyes feel heavy and achy they feel tired. It’s times like this that I miss being able to have proper coffee’s to see me through the day.

But I must stay positive and just keep reminding myself it’s just a phase, it will pass. I just need to ride the storm and hope it passes before the new baby arrives.

As always thank you for reading.

I have to do this too, everything is a phase and it always works out that it was a phase when you look back!! #bestandworst

Oh that’s tough, I’m not surprised you’re worn out. I think the whole time from zero to starting school was the hardest for me – every stage has its challenges! And it doesn’t stop there, but at least by that point you’re getting a decent night’s kip and can cope with it better.

I don’t think being 6months pregnant and being hot and uncomfortable helps the situation at all.
